The six days between Christmas and New Year's are a strange time. It's almost a holiday week without a holiday where most people still work, even if it's almost unnatural. The season is so different from other years that Norway has a word for it - romjul, which means a time to spend with friends and family. And while that would be a great way to spend those days, not all of us are lucky enough to be able to do it. King Charles III Has Unveiled His First Christmas Card as British Monarch

For the first time in 70 years, Britain has a new monarch to usher in the festive season. The royal family unveiled their 2022 Christmas card on Sunday, featuring King Charles III and his wife Camilla, the Queen Consort. "Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year," read the card, next to a photo of the couple at the Braemar Games in September, a Scottish Highland sports convention that has been held since 1832. The photo was taken by the royal photographer. Samir Hussein.  It is the second year in a row that Hussein's photo has been chosen for the royal Christmas card. This year's image was taken on September 3, just five days before the death of King Charles' mother and Britain's oldest monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, at Balmoral Castle.
